Our cabin has easy access to I-70 which makes it easy access to Loveland, Silver Plume and Georgetown. Going west, our cabin is ONLY 5 miles from Loveland Ski Area!
There is a back road to Silver Plume and Georgetown which is an easy 5 minute drive. The Georgetown Loop Railroad is just east of our place and we would recommend taking a ride as it is a great way to see the beautiful scenery of the area. There are old mining tours available as well as plenty of shopping in Georgetown and Loveland.
This is also a great place to stay if you are looking to go skiing/snow boarding/snow shoeing/hiking in other areas nearby like A-Basin, Copper Mountain or in cities like Dillon, Frasier, Silverthorne. These places are easier to get to than staying in the city and being in traffic on your way into the mountains.
Please note that you may need 4WD in the winter when it is icy or slick. We do our best to plow the snow as soon as we can, but it can still be slick and hazardous.

There is wifi available! There is so much history in the area to learn and explore that you could keep yourself busy or just relax, play games & read inside the cabin.
Do not leave any garbage outside- place it in the bear-proof dumpster and relock it.

Killer cabin! Our family had a blast! Will come again. Impeccably clean, well-stocked kitchen, super cozy. Well stocked with extra wood for the origional stove, and the gas stove is so easy-just click the button and it really puts out the heat! Super close to the highway exit, and only a few minutes to Georgetown. 20 to Idaho Springs. VERY private. Park directly in front, which was great for how snowy it was. Ice was in the freezer, there was laundry detergent, dryer sheets and trash bags. Tupperware and all the cooking pans you could need. Beds were very comfortable. And the hot tub was simple to use--even the cover had an easy roll bar.

This listing was a beautiful secluded cabin backed up to a forest and creek. We loved the peaceful nature and ability to quickly get on i70. Our only issue was the cleaning service was running late upon us attempting to check in after the advertised time. Because of this it seems they rushed and didn’t complete all of their preparations for our stay. We would still highly suggest the stay, it was a beautiful experience.
